What should I bring to the sauna session?

Swimwear (wear on arrival for a smooth transition)

Towel (one to sit on, another to dry off after)

Changing robe (for warmth between sauna rounds)

Water bottle (stay hydrated—no glass, metal bottles may overheat)

Suitable footwear (flip-flops, sandals, or Crocs)

Minimal belongings (we can’t take responsibility for valuables)

How long should I stay in the sauna?

For the best experience, we recommend 3 sauna rounds, lasting up to 15 minutes each, with cooling-off periods in between. Listen to your body—stay as long as feels comfortable!

Can I swim in the lake during the sauna session?

While swimming is not permitted, guests can enjoy a lifeguarded dipping experience in the designated slipway area. This allows you to safely immerse in the water, cool off, and enhance your sauna experience.

If a lifeguard is unavailable, lake access will not be permitted. In this case, Yorkshire Sauna will provide alternative cold plunge tubs to ensure a refreshing cooldown.

Is the sauna safe for everyone?

Sauna therapy offers great benefits, but it may not be suitable for individuals with certain health conditions (e.g., heart issues, high blood pressure, pregnancy). If unsure, consult a medical professional before booking.
